Brandon Butler (born September 11, 1996) is an American actor. He is known for portraying Scott Reed in the Netflix series 13 Reasons Why and Brady Finch in the Netflix series Trinkets.^[1]^[2]

Life and career

Butler was born and raised in Frankfort, Illinois. At the age of 13, Butler began his acting career in 2009, when he appeared in the 2011 musical comedy film Sister Mary, portraying Choir boy.^[3]

Butler was cast to play the role of Peter in the 2014 drama film Spoilers: The Movie directed by Connor Williams.^[4]

Butler appeared in the daytime soap opera General Hospital, where he played the role as Frat guy #1.

In 2018, Butler appeared on the second season of the teen drama series 13 Reasons Why, where he played the role of Scott Reed.

Butler was cast to play the main role of Brady Finch in the drama series Trinkets opposite Brianna Hildebrand, Kiana Madeira, Quintessa Swindell and Odiseas Georgiadis, based on the 2013 novel of the same name by Kirsten Smith.^[5]

Butler appeared in the military drama series SEAL Team, where he played the role of Brad.

Butler played Ethan in the 2023 movie Dark Highway. The movie is a thriller about a ghost town road trip that goes terribly wrong.^[6] He starts alongside Monica Moore Smith, Gabrielle Haugh and Ahaise.

In 2024, Butler played Bryce Cooper in the comedy movie Rockbottom opposite Jake Bongiovi, McKaley Miller, Teala Dunn and Tom Everett Scott.^[7]

Butler played the lead role of Craig London in the 2024 crime drama film Breathe alongside Blue Kimble, Frederick Tabiyus Nah IV, Forrest Hoffman and Jesse Howland.^[8]

Butler is set to appear in the Peacock original series Hysteria! alongside Julie Bowen, Nikki Hahn, Anna Camp and Nolan North. The show is set to premiere October 18, 2024. He will play Ryan Hudson.^[9]^[10]
