Herbert, Illinois

42°09′17″N 88°46′34″W / 42.15472°N 88.77611°W / 42.15472; -88.77611Herbert is an unincorporated community in Boone County, Illinois, United States. Herbert is south of Belvidere and northwest of Genoa.
History
A post office called Herbert has been in operation since 1886.[2] The community was named for the son of a settler.[3]
