Hillside Acres is a census-designated place (CDP) in Webb County, Texas, United States. This was a new CDP, formed from parts of the Ranchitos Las Lomas CDP prior to the 2010 census, with a population of 30.[2]

It is one of several colonias in the county.[3]

Geography

Hillside Acres is located at 27°40′34″N 99°10′40″W / 27.67611°N 99.17778°W / 27.67611; -99.17778 (27.676165, -99.177706). The CDP has a total area of 0.2 square miles (0.52 km2), all land.[4]

Hillside Acres first appeared as a census designated place in the 2010 U.S. Census,[16] one of seven CDPs (Colorado Acres, Hillside Acres, Las Haciendas, Las Pilas, Los Veteranos I, Pueblo East, and Valle Verde) were formed out the Ranchitos Las Lomas CDP.[17]

Education

Residents are in the United Independent School District.[20] Zoned schools include: Dr. Henry Cuellar Elementary School,[21] Antonio Gonzalez Middle School,[22] and United South High School.[23]

The designated community college for Webb County is Laredo Community College.[24]
