Kalaroos,(کلاروس)is a sub valley of Lolab valley located in Lolab valley in Kupwara district in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, India. It is surrounded by mountains which increases its beauty. The village is located 11 km (6.8 mi) from district headquarters Kupwara.it is among three sub-valleys of Lolab viz kalaroos,potnai and brunai.tourist attractions satbarran (rock with seven doors in English)and ancient mystery caves are located here.main villages of kalaroos are madmadow, sarkuli, nagsari, thayan, moori,lashtiyal,nunwani etc.

Demographics

According to the 2011 census of India, Kalaroos has 5007 households.[5] The literacy rate of Kalaroos village was 48.76% compared to 67.16% of Jammu and Kashmir. In Kalaroos, Male literacy stands at 59.72% while the female literacy rate was 35.55%.
