Muramvya is a city located in central Burundi. It is the capital city of Muramvya Province.^[1]

Muramvya is home to the Muramvya Regional Hospital.^[2]^[3] Since 1982 the city has received electricity from the nearby Gikonge Hydroelectric Power Station on the Mubarazi River.^[4]^[5]
