Muramvya is a city located in central Burundi. It is the capital city of Muramvya Province.[1]

Muramvya is home to the Muramvya Regional Hospital.[2][3] Since 1982 the city has received electricity from the nearby Gikonge Hydroelectric Power Station on the Mubarazi River.[4][5]
