Murtiya is a village development committee in Sarlahi District in the Madhesh Province of south-eastern Nepal. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 6,485 people living in 1,120 individual households.[1]

Murtiya is a Historical place due to the Mukteshwor Temple and also known as a Sport City. Important Place:  Mukteshwor Temple  Mukteshwor Pokhari  Bihani Ban, Picnic Sport  Malhaniya Pokhari  Foot Ball Ground  Covered Hall
