Sand Creek Township is one of nine townships in Decatur County, Indiana, United States. As of the 2020 census, its population was 3,122 (slightly up from 3,120 at 2010^[3]) and it contained 1,331 housing units.^[4]

History

Sand Creek Township was organized in 1825.^[6]

Westport Covered Bridge was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.^[7]

According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 43.21 square miles (111.9 km²), of which 43.17 square miles (111.8 km²) (or 99.91%) is land and 0.04 square miles (0.10 km²) (or 0.09%) is water.^[3]
