Savelivka (Ukrainian: Савелівка; until 1947 – Savalusky) is a village in Monastyryska urban hromada, Chortkiv Raion, Ternopil Oblast, Ukraine.[1]

History

It was first mentioned in writings in 1450.[2]

After the liquidation of the Monastyryska Raion on 19 July 2020, the village became part of the Chortkiv Raion.[3]

Religion

  • Church of St. John the Baptist (1878, UGCC).[2]

The village also has a chapel of the Assumption (2004) on the spot where the Mother of God appeared. Every year on 19 August, Savelivka hosts a big holiday, a pilgrimage, and a service for the clergy.[2]
