Ty Gadsden

Tahmir Saiquon Gadsden (born on October 17, 1996) is an American professional basketball player. He played college basketball for the University of North Carolina Wilmington.

Gadsden graduated from Arlington Country Day School in Jacksonville, FL and completed a year at Believe Prep in Rock Hill, SC

Gadsden played his freshman season at Vincennes University. He helped the team advance to semifinals of NJCAA National Tournament. He averaged 16 points, 1.7 rebounds and 4.2 assists that season. He played in all 37 games and scored 20 or more points on 14 occasions.

Gadsden transferred to University of North Carolina Wilmington his sophomore year. During his junior year, he ranked second on the team in scoring. He sat out the first ten games of his junior year following off-season surgery.^[1]

On October 25, 2021 the Oklahoma City Blue claimed Gadsden from the player pool. On November 2, 2021, they placed his contract on waivers.

On January 9, 2022, the Maine Celtics claimed Gadsden from the player pool. On January 28, 2022, they placed his contract on waivers.^[2]

On April 11, 2022, the Rayos de Hermosillo signed Gadsden. He played in thirty seven games and averaged 10 points per game, 1.7 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game.^[3]

On January 10, 2023, Gadsden signed with Plymouth City Patriots. He played in 15 games and averaged 12.6 points per game, 2.7 rebounds per game and 1.8 assists per game.^[4]
