Rise of the Tyrant on ruotsalaisen death metal -yhtyeen Arch Enemyn seitsemäs albumi. Albumi julkaistiin 24. syyskuuta vuonna 2007. Yhtyeen tyyli on mennyt hieman eteenpäin edellisiin levyihin nähden. Levyllä kuullaan entistä enemmän melodisia riffejä. Levystä julkaistiin myös DVD:n sisältänyt versio, jolla on kaksi kappaletta keikoilta ja kiertuedokumentti.

Albumi nousi Yhdysvalloissa Billboard 200 -listan sijalle 84.[2] Suomessa se debytoi virallisen albumilistan sijalla 18.[1]

Kappale "The Day You Died" perustuu elokuvaan Tulikärpästen hauta.[3]
