Perang Kongo-Arab berlangsung di wilayah Republik Demokratik Kongo antara pasukan Negara Bebas Kongo yang dimiliki oleh Raja Belgia, yaitu Leopold II, yang melawan para pedagang budak Arab Zanzibar yang dipimpin oleh Sefu bin Hamid, anak Tippu Tip. Pertempuran berlangsung di wilayah Kongo timur antara tahun 1892 hingga 1894. Perang ini sendiri merupakan perang tidak langsung antara Belgia dan Arab Zanzibar, karena para prajurit yang terlibat dalam konflik ini adalah orang-orang asli Kongo.^[2] Penyebab utama perang ini adalah faktor ekonomi karena Leopold dan Arab Zanzibar sama-sama ingin menguasai kekayaan di Kongo.^[3] Pada mulanya Raja Leopold II bekerja sama dengan orang Arab Zanzibar, tetapi persaingan memperebutkan perdagangan gading dan komitmen Leopold II kepada Konferensi Berlin untuk mengakhiri praktik perbudakan mengakibatkan meletusnya konflik ini.^[4] Perang ini secara resmi berakhir pada Januari 1894 dan berhasil dimenangkan oleh Force Publique Kongo.
