"When the Sun Goes Down" (Saat Matahari Terbenam) adalah sebuah lagu dari grup musik indie rock Inggris Arctic Monkeys. Lagu ini dirilis pada 16 Januari 2006 sebagai singel kedua dari album debut studio mereka, Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not (2006). Ini diikuti memulai debut single "I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor" ke nomor 1 di UK Singles Chart.

Lagu ini tentang prostitusi di Neepsend distrik Sheffield. Awalnya dikenal sebagai "Scummy", laporan awal telah juga menyarankan namanya akan hanya "Sun Goes Down", namun nama lengkap dikonfirmasi di website Arctic Monkeys. Baris "and he told Roxanne to put on her red light," adalah referensi ke lagu The Police "Roxanne".

Video musik

Video musik ini disutradarai oleh Paul Fraser dan perdana di MTV2 pada tanggal 21 Desember 2005. dibintangi Lauren Socha dan Stephen Graham. Video digunakan cuplikan dari film Scummy Man, yang digunakan para pelaku yang sama yang muncul dalam video musik untuk menceritakan kisah 'Nina', tak bernama "that girl there" dari lagu tersebut.
