Metachirini – monotypowe plemię ssaków z podrodziny dydelfów (Didelphinae) w obrębie rodziny dydelfowatych (Didelphidae).
Występowanie
Plemię obejmuje gatunki występujące w Ameryce od Meksyku do Argentyny[6][7][8].
Morfologia
Długość ciała (bez ogona) 24,5–28 mm, długość ogona 28–36,9 mm; masa ciała 284–480 g[9][10].
Systematyka
Rodzaj zdefiniował w 1854 roku niemiecko-argentyński przyrodnik Hermann Burmeister w publikacji swojego autorstwa Systematische Uebersicht der Thiere Brasiliens[4]. Burmeister wymienił kilka gatunków – Didelphis quica Temminck, 1824, Didelphis cinerea Temminck, 1824 (= Marmosa paraguayana Tate, 1931), Didelphis incana Lund, 1840 i Didelphys myosurus Burmeister, 1854 (= Didelphis myosuros Temminck, 1824) – nie wskazując gatunku typowego; w ramach późniejszego oznaczenia w 1888 roku angielski zoolog Oldfield Thomas na typ nomenklatoryczny wyznaczył Metachirus myosuros[11].
Metachirus (Metacherius): gr. μετα meta ‘za’; χειρ kheir, χειρος kheiros ‘dłoń’[12].
Podział systematyczny
Do plemienia należy jeden rodzaj z trzema gatunkami[13][6]:
Grafika | Gatunek | Autor i rok opisu | Nazwa zwyczajowa | Podgatunki[9][6][10] | Rozmieszczenie geograficzne[9][6][10] | Podstawowe wymiary[9][10] (DC – długość ciała; DO – długość ogona; MC – masa ciała) | Status IUCN[14] |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|

Metachirus aritanai | Miranda, Nunes, Machado, Farias, Menezes, Ardente, Santos-Filho, Bredin & M.N.F. Silva, 2023 | monotypowy | zbieg rzek Xingu i Tocantis, Pará, Brazylia[15] | DC: 24,3–27,5 cm; DO: brak danych; MC: około 380 g[15] | NE |
Kategorie IUCN: LC – gatunek najmniejszej troski, NE – gatunki niepoddane jeszcze ocenie.
