Aetea truncata[1][2][3][4][5] är en mossdjursart som först beskrevs av Landsborough 1852. Aetea truncata ingår i släktet Aetea och familjen Aeteidae.[6][7][8] Arten är reproducerande i Sverige.[8] Inga underarter finns listade i Catalogue of Life.[6]
