Faster Than the Speed of Night aus dem Jahr 1983 ist das fünfte und erfolgreichste Album von Bonnie Tyler. Das Album enthält den Hit Total Eclipse of the Heart, der in Großbritannien Platz eins[1] und USA Platz drei[2] der Singlecharts erreichte.
Das Album stieg im April 1983 in den UK-Albumcharts auf Platz eins[1] ein und machte Tyler zur ersten weiblichen Künstlerin, die das erreichte.[3] Das Album kam in den US-Albumcharts auf Platz vier.[4]
